This quick tutorial is designed to outline the basics of Northwestern University’s Blackboard-based Course Management System and allow you to begin using your course site as quickly as possible.

This self guided tutorial is meant to help you build a basic course site. In this tutorial you will be an instructor of course about Rainforests. When you have completed this tutorial, you will have a solid understanding of the most commonly used features of Blackboard.

home page.
To complete the tutorial three steps are required:
- Request a Blackboard course site from us
- Download the tutorial
- Download the referenced files in the tutorial onto your local computer
1. Request a Blackboard course site from us
To request a Blackboard course site for tutorial purposes, please email us at course-management@northwestern.edu with your Name, NetID, and email address.
Include as the subject of your email: Tutorial Site Request.
We will create your tutorial site within 2 business days. You will be notified by email when the request has been completed.
2. Download the tutorial
The tutorial is a 30-page pdf file. To download the tutorial please click here.

3. Download the referenced files in the tutorial
