In order to simplify the use of the Course Management System, NUIT has implemented a new CMS System Administration Data Lifecycle Policy.
Course sites that are older than two years will be deleted from the Course Management System
unless an instructor requests that sites be retained.
This policy took effect at the start of the 2008 Winter quarter.
The removal of course sites that are greater than two years old will continue on a quarterly basis.
The reduction of data on the CMS will benefit instructors, students and staff who work with the CMS.
Instructors and students will only see the most current course sites listed.
There will be less system down time required for the annual upgrade and system performance will improve.
